About The Worx

It all started with a young Jim English, and his passion for health and fitness.

Having been a part of the industry for more than 2 decades, Jim has opened a number of big box gyms across the nation, including American Fitness, Golds, Lifestyle Family Fitness and LA Fitness in Florida, Sports Club LA in California, International Health Clubs in Oklahoma. Twelve years ago, he and his wife, personal trainer, Maryam English, opened the first Worx location on Boyette. Since then, The Worx has expanded to 3 different locations in the greater Tampa Bay area, and the couple’s passion for health and fitness has only continued to grow. The Worx is open 24/7 and is a place where you can learn to love yourself, surpass your personal goals, and realize how much you love your workout.
